Allianz Global Assistance Embraces Motor Code Standards

Motor Codes is committed to helping the motor industry sustain high standards throughout the new and used car sales process. This includes the sale and administration of car warranties, and related products such as MOT cover, following approval by Trading Standards Institute of its Warranty Products Code. The training course, attended by Allianz Global Assistance employees from Sales, Claims, Customer Services and Underwriting covered all warranty products and confirms promises made by subscribing warranty administrators, regarding the administration of their products.

The Code sets subscriber rules for the advertising, sale and claim management of vehicle warranties, and the course is made up of four main sections including Advertising, Point-of-sale Obligations, Clarity of Information - such as terms and conditions – and Claims Handling of vehicle warranty products.

Holly McAllister, Head of Customer Service and Quality for Motor Codes comments: “Motor Codes already works directly with car manufacturers but by working closely with warranty providers, such as Allianz Global Assistance, we are expanding the reach of our code of conduct to ensure the general public benefit from a transparent sales process and customer service excellence.”

Liz Grindell, Head of Warranty and Finance at Allianz Global Assistance in the UK adds, “We fully support the Motor Codes focus on improving and maintaining standards. Allianz Global Assistance continues to invest in training for our employees, ensuring our manufacturer clients can be confident in the level of service we provide to their customers.”
