Allianz Global Assistance UK Pulls Out all the Stops for Children in Need

Saracens player, Alistair Hargreaves visited the call centre to meet the volunteers and keep spirits high. The telephone crew were also treated to face painting from Maria’s Face Fun, magic tricks from Theo the Magician and refreshments donated by the Cronx Brewery. The entertainment and treats ensured the team kept up the pace throughout the night, bringing a party atmosphere to the call centre.

Many local businesses made donations to keep the volunteers going and reward them for all their hard work. These included Crystal Palace FC, which donated two tickets to a match for each volunteer, BMW, Mitsubishi, Circuit Cars, Simply Lunch, Croydon College, Costco and Friends Life.

Serge Corel, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Global Assistance in the UK and Ireland, said, “Children in Need has become a firm fixture on our calendar, as we continue to support the event with volunteers answering the phones. We are delighted to be able to support this fantastic charity each year, but it wouldn’t be possible without the enthusiasm and commitment of our staff. This year we collected more than ever, making this a record-breaking fundraising effort by the Allianz Global Assistance team.

“We’ve also had tremendous support from local businesses and it’s fantastic to be able to work together to support the vital work Children in Need does. We are very proud to be part of this event and will continue to man the phones for years to come.”
