Mondial Assistance UK Brings out the Summer Calvalry

Breaking down is always an inconvenience, but it feels ten times worse in the middle of a family holiday. This summer, Mondial Assistance UK has teamed up with Mondial Assistance Holland to send three teams of highly trained technicians to operate on the Italian and Spanish borders of France – helping holidaymakers stay on the road.

“The language barrier and a lack of local knowledge, means many drivers can be stranded when it comes to something as simple as a flat tyre or running out of fuel,” says Lee Taylor, Automotive Director of Mondial Assistance UK. “By introducing UK technicians in to Europe during the summer, we offer holidaymakers added support and peace of mind when they take their own car abroad.

“Our summer initiative has been highly successful and this year we are working closely with Mondial Assistance’s Dutch Operations Centre to coordinate assistance requests from the UK, Holland and across Europe. This means that technicians will be assisting customers from many European countries as they travel through the South of France, which is a key region during the busy summer months.”

Mondial Assistance UK is sending a BMW specialist and will be the main resource deployed for BMW UK customers. The three teams of technicians will be based in Le Muy, near Toulon, Northern Italy and on the French/Spanish border, providing an added level of service to holidaymakers with European roadside assistance, supported by Mondial Assistance.

Lee Taylor concludes, “This initiative brings customers access to our team of multi-lingual technicians, helping to reduce the stress of an emergency on foreign roads. With highly skilled Mondial Assistance staff on hand in France throughout the summer, holidaymakers can relax and enjoy their trip and we can help reduce stress and the need for repatriation in the event of an emergency.”
