Mondial Assistance UK restructures Sales Team to support growth

Lee Taylor is promoted to Chief Sales Officer taking responsibility for all sales activity across the Automotive, Travel and Health areas of the business. Lee, steps into this role following his success in growing the business as Automotive Sales Director, over the last 4 years in addition to Allianz Solutions.

The announcement coincides with the move of Ben Smart from his position as Corporate, Travel & Health Sales Director, to a sister company in the Middle East to be Regional Sales Officer for the Middle East and Africa.

Lee has taken this opportunity to implement changes to the sales team structure and announce promotions for two individuals:

•    Liz Grindell is promoted from Warranty Manager to ‘Head of Warranty and Finance & Insurance’ within Automotive, in recognition of the contribution this continually growing area has made to the company, and the key role Liz has played in that success. Liz and her team have not only been successful with new client wins but also the delivery of additional new product lines, such as MOT and Tyre Insurance and the impending launch of a ‘Cosmetic Repair’ proposition.

•    Phil Carr will assume the title of ‘Head of Business Development Corporate’. Having formerly been ‘Head of Health Services’, Phil will assume responsibility for all new business development in the Corporate, Travel and Health arena. Phil’s extensive general insurance knowledge and experience within the wider industry make him ideally placed to strengthen this team.

Completing Lee’s Team of Direct Reports is:

•    Jon Burgess will continue as ‘Head of Business Development Automotive’, responsible for exploring new distribution channels along with new client acquisition,  including; motor manufacturers, manufacturer and automotive finance and leasing houses, together with the repairer and fleet market.
•    Jon Tolliday as ‘Head of Major Accounts Automotive’ remains responsible for management and development of the existing manufacturer and automotive client portfolio

•    Kate Codrington, who returns from maternity leave in October, as ‘Head of Key Accounts Corporate’. Kate will be responsible for the management and development of existing business lines within what was known previously as ‘Corporate, Travel and Health’.

Serge Corel, CEO of Mondial Assistance in the UK says, “The new structure of the department builds on our existing foundations, with a focus on a collaborative approach to driving the business and potential opportunities over the months ahead. It is essential that we maintain and develop our diverse existing client portfolio, whilst looking for additional opportunities to expand product lines. Furthermore the entry into new markets and in turn acquiring new clients is essential as part of our Group’s wider ambition for 2015. This will be something that will be a top priority as we migrate to Allianz Global Assistance.”
